Straw Jewellery

These are easy to make and my baby loved it.. we made it with multi colours but this will look good with any two colour straws too..

Things needed:

Straws
Thick cotton yarn
Scissors
Pen
Glue
Tape

Method:

Take desired length of yarn. Make a knot in the middle of the yarn and stick it with the help of tape.

Cut the straws into small 1/2"pieces.

Use glue to stick to the free ends of the yarn so that it becomes hard and easy to  thread the straws since we don't want to use any needle.

For bracelet:

Now take a small piece of straw and put the two ends of yarn into it from opposite sides as shown in pic. Continue this in a pattern till the desired length of bracelet is achieved.

After that make a knot so that the straws stay in place. Add two extra straws in the end as they do the job of hook.

Bracelet is ready...

For necklace:

Take a long piece of yarn and make a knot in the centre.

Now start threading the straws length wise separately in the two strings.

Continue this till the desired length of necklace. Use the same method as in bracelet to make a hook.

I have also used the part of the straw which can be bent to make pendant. I have cut them in various sizes and thread them.

Tie the pendant in the centre of the necklace.

Bracelet and necklace are ready for the princess..
